		<description>&lt;p&gt;Have you tried sshfs?  It is really similar to that program in how it mounts as a drive. I have used it for backing up my computer on to the linux box.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Obviously, Transmit does a whole slew of other things than just SFTP. If that's all you use Transmit for though, it is most certainly a viable replacement.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Having your drives mount on the Desktop like a real file server is much, much more integrated.&lt;/p&gt;
